Houston Internist Gets 70 Months + $3.8m FINE for Unbundling and Billing for Services Not Done

An certified internist in Houston was nailed for mail fraud for "unbundling" his bills to insurance companies.  At just 42, along with everything he accomplished to get into and complete medical school, his internship, his internal medicine fellowship, and his board certification, he has now lost his medical license, lost his business, lost his money, and is now a convicted felon.
